Sheet Gasketing

The demands of modern applications make the choice of the right sealing product an important consideration, both in the design of new equipment and in choosing new products which will replace those no longer suitable. Gylon gasketing is developed from restructured PTFE and has excellent chemical resistance. Gylon significantly reduces creep relaxation problems typical of conventional PTFE. Gylon is chemically resistant and withstands a wide range of chemicals for extended service life in a wide variety of applications. Benefits include a tighter seal with improved performance over conventional PTFE, reduced product loss and emissions and reduced creep relaxation. The unique manufacturing process minimizes cold flow problems typical of skived and expanded PTFE sheets and provides excellent bolt torque retention. Gylon provides cost savings with cuts in operational costs through reduced fluid loss, energy consumption, maintenance costs, inventory and waste. Gylon offers some of the largest sheet sizes in the industry with providing improved material utilization and waste reduction. Gylon branding and color coding allows for easy identification of GYLON® products and reduces misapplication and use of unauthorized and inferior substitutes.

The innovative GYLON EPIX™, provides superior functional performance by combining the traditional attributes of GYLON® with an innovative surface design. It offers a broader range of applications than traditional PTFE gaskets used in worn and pitted flanges. In addition, GYLON EPIX™ delivers the sealing and load retention properties of 1/8" and the conformability of 1/16". The hexagonal profile provides improved compressibility and recovery. The profiled surface reduces the contact area during initial compression to concentrate the compressive force of the flange for improved sealability.

BLUE-GARD® gasketing material exhibits excellent sealability. The unique blend of aramid fibers, fillers, and elastomeric binders provides improved torque retention and drastically lowered emissions levels. Garlock BLUE-GARD is versatile and excels in a wide range of industrial applications cutting operational costs through reduced waste, maintenance, fluid loss, energy consumption and stocked inventory.

Garlock 2900, 2930,2950,2400 family is ideal for utility and general service applications. This utility grade sheet gasketing exhibits excellent sealability and improved thermal stability.

High temperature compressed graphite, carbon fiber gasketing and GRAPH-LOCK gasketing for applications that cannot be handled with convention compressed gasketing materials.

Premium grade elastomer (rubber) sheet products for applications where the low load requirements of rubber are necessary.

PTFE Sheet Gasketing is ideal for a wide range of gasketing applications. Food, and chemical applications are often sealed using PTFE or Dupont Teflon® resin. Teflon resin sheets are available in both Virgin, Mechanical and Expanded PTFE grades.

A group of low cost gaskets that utilize vegetable fiber and/or cork to seal in low pressure, low temperature applications. These gaskets are easy to cut and meet a number of automotive, military and industrial requirements.

More universal than gaskets that swell in oil only Multi-Swell 3700 reduces inventory and performs well in flanges that might crush an elastomer gasket providing use in a wide array of applications.
