Our Company History

The name Atlantech® Distribution describes where we are, what we are, and what we do.

Atlan (tic) is where we are. Our distribution operations are in states that border or are near the Atlantic coast.

Tech (nical) is what we are. We have a responsibility to you to be technically competent. We accept the challenge.

Distribution is what we do. We are industrial, commercial, safety wholesale distributors.

Atlantech® Distribution was originally a department of a major insulation company that both sold and installed commercial and industrial insulation.

In 1967, the company that today is Atlantech® Distribution was incorporated with four (4) Distribution Centers.

In 2010, we have nine locations: Edison, NJ; Baltimore, MD; Richmond, VA; Hampton, VA; Raleigh, NC; Charlotte, NC; Columbia, SC; Jacksonville, FL; Tampa, FL, and Tallahassee, FL with plans for additional locations in the near future.

Looking Ahead

Atlantech's plans for the future include opening additional distrubution centers with a focus on the Easterm United States and export market, as well as insuring that active employees continue to own 100% of the Company.

Throughout its history, Atlantech® Distribution has forged long term relationships with manufacturers that focus on the most important link in the distribution chain, THE CUSTOMER. Our philosophy and goal is to make every person and position at Atlantech® Distribution accountable to the customer. We cross train our people and encourage them to find a way to meet the customer's needs.

Over eighty five years ago, our founders decided our company would be owned entirely by the active employees. This is still true of Atlantech today. We will continue to protect and preserve this tradition.
