Flexible metal hose is a versatile tool which provides connections where rigid connectors are impossible or impractical.
They are strong and corrosion/temperature resistant. The hose connector absorbs thermal growth and controls vibration and noise. Flexible metal hose is used to connect misaligned piping and join parts of machinery.
The outer braid of the Metallic Flexible Hose Connector is used in conjunction with the hose to prevent elongation under high internal pressure. It consists of a tubular sheath of metal wires woven in a basket weave fashion. The hose is made to fit snugly over the hose and fastened and designed to be strong enough to withstand elongation for the full pressure rating of the hose.
