Incombustible Hullboard by Johns Manville

Incombustible Hullboard from Johns Manville is a lightweight, semi-rigid board insulation made from felted glass fibers in a nominal density of 2.9 pcf (46.5 kg/m3). Incombustible Hullboard is characterized by a low organic content, and was the first incombustible type hullboard to be developed for use in the marine industry.

The insulation has a smooth surface which is suitable for facing with glass cloth or can be combined with waffleboard. Incombustible Hullboard is designed specifically to provide thermal and acoustical insulating control for the hull and deckheads aboard naval and merchant vessels and drilling rig platforms.

Trymer pipe insulation features one of the lowest ambient k-factors among all pipe insulations: 0.19 BTU·in/hr·ft2·°F at 75°F mean temperature (0.027 W/m·°C at 24°C) and can be used over a broad temperature range from -297°F to 300°F (-183°C to 148°C).

These resilient fiber glass insulations offer high tensile strength to resist damage during installation. Spin-Glas® High Temperature Blanket resists the effects of vibration after installation, providing superior in-place performance. Thermal Performance. The low conductivity of Spin-Glas® HTB in hot applications means reduced heat loss and lower fuel costs.

Micro-Lok® Fiber Glass Pipe Insulation by Johns Manville

Micro-Lok® fiber glass pipe insulation is made from glass fibers bonded with a thermosetting resin and produced in 36” (0.92 m) lengths. Jacketed with a reinforced vapor retarder facing and a factory-applied, longitudinal acrylic adhesive closure system, Micro-Lok is designed for application temperatures from 0°F to 850°F (-18°C to 454°C).

Section joints are sealed with butt strips which are supplied from the factory. The factory-installed tape system permits installation at ambient temperatures down to 15°F (-9°C), and will not soften or separate when exposed to high ambient temperatures and humidity. Micro-Lok® fiber glass pipe insulation is suitable for installation over hot, cold, concealed and exposed piping systems with operating temperatures up to 850°F (454°C).

Weather-protective jacketing is required for outdoor applications. Pipes operating below ambient temperatures require all joints to be sealed with the factory-applied, self-seal lap and butt strips.

1000 Series Spin-Glas® by Johns Manville

1000 Series Spin-Glas from Johns Manville is a 3.0 pounds per cubic foot (48 kg/m3), semi-rigid board produced by a unique felting process that combines Spin-Glas fiber and controlled amounts of organic binder into an insulation with superior handling properties and insulating effectiveness at minimum cost. Excellent for insulating furnaces, boilers, heated vessels, ducts, tanks and other heated equipment operating at temperatures up to 850°F (454°C).

800 Series Spin-Glas® by Johns Manville

800 Series Spin-Glas® duct and equipment insulation from Johns Manville is manufactured from inorganic glass fibers bonded together with thermo-setting resin. 800 Series Spin-Glas is available plain or faced in a variety of densities for use on systems which operate up to 450°F (232°C). For faced products, surface temperature should not exceed 150°F (66°C). AP or FSK vapor retarder faced material meets the requirements of NFPA 90A and 90B.

Excellent finished appearance on duct and equipment systems. Spin-Glas can be readily cut with an ordinary knife and secured utilizing mechanical fasteners and/or adhesives.

Precipitator Spin-Glas® from Johns Manville is a 2.4 pounds per cubic foot semi-rigid, lightweight, felted board composed of fine rotary process fibers bonded with a special organic resin. Density, binder content and thickness are carefully controlled to assure full insulating value and strength.

Specifically designed for insulating precipitators, baghouses, scrubbers, ducts and breechings in power generation plants. Also suited for boilers, heaters, ovens and other industrial equipment operating at temperatures up to 850°F (454°C).

Micro-Flex® Large Diameter Pipe and Tank Wrap by Johns Manville

Micro-Flex® Large Diameter Pipe and Tank Wrap from Johns Manville is a 2.5 pcf (40.1 kg/m3) density product made from high temperature, semi-rigid fiber glass blanket bonded to a flexible facing. Shipped in roll form, Micro-Flex’s unique fiber orientation gives it increased compressive strength and permits close installation on round surfaces without reducing the thickness of insulation resulting in a loss of insulating efficiency.

Both AP and FSK facings are intended for indoor use, and AP facing may be painted with a latex paint after installation. Micro-Flex® ease of fit is particularly helpful on retro-fit installations where existing insulation may result in non-standard outside diameters.

Microlite® Duct Wrap insulation from Johns Manville is a light weight, highly resilient, blanket-type thermal and acoustical insulation made of glass fibers, bonded with a white, formaldehyde-free resin. Microlite formaldehyde-free insulation is available in a variety of densities, thicknesses, widths and roll lengths. It is supplied with an FSK vapor barrier facing to meet installed performance requirements, with a 2-inch (51 mm) stapling tab.

Microlite® is recommended as thermal insulation for the exterior of HVAC systems or other spaces or surfaces where temperature control is required.

Mat-Faced Micro-Aire Duct Board from Johns Manville is produced from durable glass fibers, bonded with a thermosetting resin. The airstream side of Mat-Faced Micro-Aire® Duct Board features a fiber glass mat for use at velocities up to 5,000 fpm (25.4 m/sec). The opposite side features a fire-resistant Foil-Scrim-Kraft facing extending the full width of the male edge to serve as an integral closure flap for section joints.

Mat-Faced Micro-Aire® Duct Board is molded with double-density, male/female edges for secure connections. It is ideal for fabrication into rectangular ductwork for use in heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems in new commercial or residential construction, or for renovating older sheet metal systems.

Micro-Lok® HP Ultra is a specialized, premium performance fiberglass pipe insulation. As part of the Micro-Lok HP product line, Ultra has the most consistent fiberglass core available in the market. We have coupled this with a factory-applied, polypropylene-coated, ASJ vapor retarder jacket with 100 Psi puncture-resistance. This design allows the product to be used in an environment of intermittent or temporary exposure to transient moisture or conditions that are similar to those in an open construction site. The SSL closure system has been designed to adhere securely to the polypropylene-coated jacket. It can be applied at ambient temperatures starting at 20°F and above, and will remain intact even in high temperatures and humidity. This assures the building owner, mechanical engineer and contractor that Micro-Lok HP Ultra will deliver the performance you’ve come to expect from JM products throughout the life of the mechanical system
