Fiberglas® Pipe and Tank Insulation by Owens Corning
Fiberglas® Pipe and Tank Insulation from Owens Corning is made of semi-rigid fibrous glass board material, factory-jacketed with a laminated kraft aluminum foil ASJ facing. The insulation is adhered with the end grain perpendicular to the jacket. This provides a flexible product that is easily wrapped around pipes, tanks or vessels, while providing good rigidity and abuse resistance. Applied to pipes, tanks and vessels 10" NPS (250mm DN) and larger.
Fiberglas® Pipe and Tank Insulation can also be used to insulate pipe flanges, valves, groups of parallel pipes, and pipes with heat tracing lines. It may be applied over existing insulation to increase thickness and satisfy demands for increased energy conservation in already operating systems.
Fiberglas® TIW Type I by Owens Corning
Fiberglas® TIW Type I Insulation is used in applications up to 1000°F (538°C) at maximum recommended thickness requiring a lightweight insulation, such as that used in panel systems, flexible wrap, industrial ovens or surfaces having irregularities. Being lightweight makes Fiberglas TIW Type I Insulation is easy to handle and install, even when large size panels are used. There is no tendency for pin-hole elongation under vibration situations, a frequent source of heat leaks in heavier products.
Micro-Flex® Large Diameter Pipe and Tank Wrap by Johns Manville
Micro-Flex® Large Diameter Pipe and Tank Wrap from Johns Manville is a 2.5 pcf (40.1 kg/m3) density product made from high temperature, semi-rigid fiber glass blanket bonded to a flexible facing. Shipped in roll form, Micro-Flex’s unique fiber orientation gives it increased compressive strength and permits close installation on round surfaces without reducing the thickness of insulation resulting in a loss of insulating efficiency.
Both AP and FSK facings are intended for indoor use, and AP facing may be painted with a latex paint after installation. Micro-Flex® ease of fit is particularly helpful on retro-fit installations where existing insulation may result in non-standard outside diameters.
Spin-Glas® HTB Insulation by Johns Manville
Spin-Glas® HTB Insulation was developed specifically for use in various applications operating at temperatures up to 1000°F (538°C) and requiring a low density blanket. This flexible blanket insulation is particularly suitable for heated, irregular surfaces or in the manufacturing of removable pads and covers.
These resilient fiber glass insulations offer high tensile strength to resist damage during installation. Spin-Glas® High Temperature Blanket resists the effects of vibration after installation, providing superior in-place performance. Thermal Performance. The low conductivity of Spin-Glas® HTB in hot applications means reduced heat loss and lower fuel costs.
Microlite® Duct Wrap by Johns Manville
Microlite® Duct Wrap insulation from Johns Manville is a light weight, highly resilient, blanket-type thermal and acoustical insulation made of glass fibers, bonded with a white, formaldehyde-free resin. Microlite formaldehyde-free insulation is available in a variety of densities, thicknesses, widths and roll lengths. It is supplied with an FSK vapor barrier facing to meet installed performance requirements, with a 2-inch (51 mm) stapling tab.
Microlite® is recommended as thermal insulation for the exterior of HVAC systems or other spaces or surfaces where temperature control is required.
SoftR™ All-Service Fiber Glass Duct Wrap by Owens Corning
SoftR™ All-Service Fiber Glass Duct Wrap from Owens Corning is used for external insulation of commercial and residential heating, air conditioning and dual-temperature ducts operating at temperatures from 40°F (4°C) to 250°F (121°C).
SoftR™, when applied in accordance with installation instructions, will provide the “installed R-value” as published for the product and printed on the facing, assuring specified in-place thermal performance and condensation control. SoftR™ has been reformulated to reduce dust and itch.
